To study the most extreme objects in the Universe, astronomers sometimes have to go to extreme places themselves. Taking advantage of the excellent atmospheric conditions in Greenland, the [Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics (ASIAA) of Academia Sinica](http://www.asiaa.sinica.edu.tw/) in Taiwan, and the [Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics](https://www.cfa.harvard.edu/) in the USA, collaborated to build the Greenland Telescope -- the latest addition to the global EHT array. Find more about the only submillimeter-wave astronomical observatory in the Arctic Circle here: [in English](https://www.sinica.edu.tw/en/news/5864), or [in Chinese](https://www.sinica.edu.tw/ch/news/5864).
