"Scientists believe they are on the verge of obtaining the first ever picture of a black hole. They have linked radio antennas all over the Earth into a network they hope will finally give them the necessary resolving power. Their target is the super-massive black hole at the centre of our galaxy. If the observations, which get under way in April are successful, it should give researchers fundamental new insights into Einstein’s theory of gravity."
